Welcome to St Peter's on Willis (Wellington)
Who are we?

We are an Anglican Church that has stood watch on Willis Street, Wellington since 10th September,1848. We have helped the city grow up around us and we are committed to making this a very human part of Wellington in which to live and work. WELLINGTON GETS NEW BISHOP
Interviews with Bishop-Elect
For media interviews with Rev’d Justin Duckworth check out Radio Rhema and the New Zealand Herald.
For earlier information on Justin Duckworth click on Tikanga-Pakeha for an article on the new bishop, including history, background, pictures and quotes. And that article has a link to Urban Visions (an organisation where each person pledges “to give their best for the least”. Justin Duckworth was one of the founders. Click here to here him talk about Urban Visions).
THE PASCHAL CANDLE
The Paschal Candle is an integral part of the Easter tradition and particularly the Easter Vigil. Below are back and front images of St Peter's Paschal Candle for 2012 but the candle and the tradition are more than just "back and front" - they are also detail and meaning. Even if those meanings may not immediately be obvious - for example - the wonderful image of Rapid - a canine on a Paschal Candle. Click here to view the Paschal Candle Page, with more detailed images, and an explanation as to the significance of both images and the candle itself.

MUSICAL ADDITIONS
Miss the good old days when you were part of the choir at St Peter's? Remember Tony Jennings and wish you had some of the recordings made under this direction? You do have some of the recordings made under his direction but the grooves are well worn down, it's getting harder to get the record player needles and the sound is no longer quite the same? Or do you have a love for superb choral singing.
Well do we have a treat for you
